Today, we’re going to talk online shopping savings! Online shopping is totally one of my obsessions, a healthy one for sure, I try not to overdo it.
How easy is it to just hop on the Internet, browse goods, and purchase with just a few clicks?
I’ve been online shopping forever, especially for clothes. If you don’t already know this about me, I’m a tall lady, standing 6’0″ tall. My younger sister is the exact same height. We’ve had difficulty clothes shopping in the past but with more and more tall boutiques popping up online, it’s been a much easier journey recently.
I’m such a frugal girl at heart. I’m gonna show you my strategy for saving 50% or more on my online purchases.
How to Save Up to 50% Online Shopping
Step 1.) Pick the stores I want to shop online.
The shops I turn to the most are Alloy, Delias, Old Navy, Children’s Place, and Amazon.
Step 2.) Head to Retailmenot and type in the store name
Step 3.) Filter results to show only coupon codes
Now, you can look at the sales AND coupon codes but the sales that are running are usually advertised on the site already and automatically applied to your shopping cart so I go straight to the codes!
Step 4.) Browse codes and pick the best one (applicable to my purchase) for the most savings
It’s not uncommon for me to try 5 or 6 codes. Some say $15 off, others say 35% off. I enter the code for each coupon to see which one has the best deal. Don’t forget about the free shipping codes too!
That’s it! An easy 4 step process.
How it Works?
Follow the instructions above and get 20%-75% off your online purchases (maybe more). Not just from Alloy either. Retailmenot has a humungo database of stores you can find discounts for. I follow this strategy like clockwork for just about every online purchase I make. I regularly save 50%+ on my online buys.
Excited yet? Don’t forget, some stores let you stack and combine coupons so that means you can use more than one coupon, competitor coupons, or a store discount card along with a promo code.
